Villa Sienna Design continues to win awards
The Villa Sienna design as built by J.D. Mahoney for the Chatham Builder’s Guild at Newland Communities’ Briar Chapel Development in Chapel Hill, NC, has been awarded the Silver and Gold Award in the Best Product Design/Custom Home category in The Nationals.
This prestigious awards competition is sponsored by the National Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association of Homebuilders and awards those individuals, companies and projects that the judges feel offer and reflect the best in new home marketing. The awards will be presented at the 2010 International Builder’s Show in Las Vegas, NV. Five years after receiving first place in its category at the 2005 American Institute of Building Design Competition, the Villa Sienna still remains the most popular design in the New Urban Classics Collection.
BSA receives award in prestigious BALA competition
Robert Martignoni is proud to announce that the Wyndham Point design from the New Urban Classics Collection, as built in the Village of Providence, Huntsville, AL by Slyman Construction Co., will receive a silver award in the Best in American Living Award competition at the 2010 International Builders Show in Las Vegas, NV.
With the reputation of being the premier design competition for new homes, the BALA competition is sponsored annually by the National Homebuilder’s Association and Professional Builder Magazine and showcases homes that “demonstrate design excellence, succeed in the marketplace and exemplify the “Best in American Living”.
Robert Martignoni receives CGP designation
After completing the required courses and testing, the Certified Green Professional designation was recently given by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) to Robert Martignoni , President/owner of Building Science Associates, Inc. Because design is a large factor and the starting block to energy and construction efficiency in new homes, BSA looks forward to implementing features in its designs that will be cost effective to increase efficiency in material and labor use, reduce energy dependence and conserve the environment.
Robert Martignoni becomes Contributing Designer for Southern Living House Plans
Southern Living, long known for being a provider and showcase for traditional home designs selected BSA to be a contributing designer for their home plans magazine and website. Southern Living is very selective in the designs and designers they accept, wanting them to uphold and reflect the reputation for excellence in design and lifestyle the magazine has established.
BSA receives Awards in 2009 ARDA design competition
The Jamestown Courtyard Home and the Wyndham Point designs from the New Urban Classics collection received awards in their respective categories at the American Residential Design Awards which was held in conjunction with the American Institute of Building Design. BSA received the awards at the 2009 AIBD national convention which was held in Portland, OR.
